Product description
Closer contact, better feel through the turn. When your lower leg maintains even contact with the boot tongue, it is easier to transfer movement to the skis. Sidas Power Strap replaces the standard strap at the top of the boot with an elastic band that moves with you as you flex the boot forward.
The elasticity provides progressive resistance through the movement and can reduce impacts when the shin hits the tongue. The metal buckle makes tension easy to fine-tune, and side reinforcements protect the durable polyester strap from ski-edge damage.
Choose the stiffness to suit your skiing
- P1 - Soft: The most flexible of the four levels. For those who prioritise comfort and want softer resistance.
- P2 - Medium: A balanced option with more support than P1 and a more flexible feel than the stiffer levels.
- P3 - Stiff: Firm elastic support for active skiing and anyone wanting stronger resistance.
- P4 - Stiffest: The highest resistance, for powerful loading and skiers who want very firm support.
Choose based on your weight, skiing style and boot flex. Lighter skiers often need a softer strap, while heavier loading may call for a stiffer one. The strap should provide your desired support while allowing you to flex the boot and move naturally forwards. How tightly you fasten it also affects the feel.
Fitting and adjustment: Check the strap's length and attachment against your boot. Fitting may require help from a boot specialist, and the strap must work without obstructing the buckles or boot movement. Start with moderate tension and fine-tune after a few runs. Regularly check the attachment, buckle and strap to ensure everything is secure and in good condition.
