Sidecut Topsheet Remover
Tool for bevelling topsheet edges and profiling sidewalls, with a 100 mm Panzer file and Trigger Clamping System.
- Temporarily out of stock - more on the way

Product description
Sidecut Topsheet Remover helps bevel the edge of a ski or snowboard's topsheet. This gives files and stones the clearance they need to reach the steel edge properly, especially at the tip and tail where the topsheet is often square-edged and protrudes.
A thoughtfully designed tool for careful preparation and the best possible starting point for edge tuning. It can also shape, smooth and polish sidewalls.
Clear access to the correct edge angle
If the topsheet's outer edge gets in the way, it can lift the file or stone away from the steel edge. Bevelling the protruding material allows full contact even at the ski's ends. This helps you achieve even sharpening and the correct side-edge angle along the entire section you want to prepare.
Check the clearance before sharpening, including on new skis. Once the topsheet is profiled, continue with, for example, the Sidecut World Cup file guide.
Stable guidance with a 110° profile
Made from stainless steel, the tool has a guide for profiling at 110°. Its rounded design lets you roll the tool in a controlled way for further bevelling where needed. The included Panzer file is 100 mm long and has a milled slot for adjusting its position.
110° refers to the bevel on the topsheet edge. The steel edge's sharpening angle is then set by the file guide used for edge tuning.
From material removal to a finer finish
The Trigger Clamping System lets you switch from the Panzer file to Sidecut's 100 mm side-edge files or rectangular diamond stones. This gives you more ways to work on topsheet edges and sidewalls with the same holder.
After the initial bevel, you can work with a finer surface to smooth marks and give the sidewall a smoother finish. The tool is also useful for smoothing uneven grooves left by sidewall trimming.
How to work with Topsheet Remover
- Secure the ski or snowboard firmly and check where the topsheet edge restricts access for the file or stone.
- Adjust the Panzer file's position to work on the material that needs bevelling. Keep the base and tool's contact surfaces clean.
- Work with light, controlled strokes and check the result frequently. Adapt the bevel to the amount of clearance needed.
- Smooth the surface if needed and check that the file or stone reaches the steel edge at the correct angle before continuing with sharpening.
